I just reach home at night. I’m so tired doing a job at the office. It just like I’m the employee a working there. The boss is always hoping at me for doing his job. When I stand outside of my house, I glad that this day is over. I’m happy that tomorrow is a holiday. I put my stuff while I take a key in my pocket and open the door. I take all my stuff that I put in front of the door and came inside. I throw my stuff on the floor and landing on the couch. While I just about to close my eyes, suddenly I just thinking about my wife who dead because of car accident when she goes to her job.

“Oh Liz, I hope you still alive.” I say with her photo in my hand.

I start thinks about Liz. How that she looks like. How long her hair. What the color of her eye. I just fell about to cries. I try to forget about it and start to sleep. When I close my eyes for five seconds, I hear someone call my name.

“Alex” A voice calling my name. It’s like a voice of woman. When I ignored it, I hear my name been call again. “Alex.”

A voice that calls my name is coming from the kitchen. This voice, it’s like the same voice as Liz’s voice. I slowly follow the voice from the kitchen. When I reach the kitchen, I look at the kitchen. I didn’t see anything. I came closely to gets a better look. I go inside the kitchen and also, I didn’t see anything or hear that voice again. I thought it was a dream but when I turn back, I saw my wife who has dead because of car accident is in front of me.

“Hey Alex.” She said. She was so happy when she looks at me.

“Liz?” I say. I was surprise on that time. I just can say her name. I can’t say anything else because I’m so surprise when I can meet with my long lost wife again. “It’s that you?”

“Yes Alex. This is me. Your wife.” She says.

I smile. “Wow. You look same like the last time I saw you.”

She laughs. “You still remember about the accident?”

I nod. “I can’t forget about it. It’s like a nightmare that I can’t turn my back and run from it.”

She smiles. Also I’m smile when I can meet with who I most love in the world. I thought that I never meet her again. But suddenly, I realize something.

“Wait a second. This is not real.” I say with closing both of my eyes.

“I know what you thinks honey. But for this time, it’s real.” She says and came closely to me.

“Why now Liz?” I ask. “It has been two years since you gone. Why the time is now?”

“Alex.” She calls my name. “I know it been a while. But I can’t come here whenever I want.”

“So tell me, tell me why you come back? It’s must be something.” I ask.

“Maybe.” She says and smiles like nothing happen. “You will know it later. But now, you need to go to sleep.”

I turn my back for a while and when I turn to her, she gone. It’s like a dream to me. I call her name, but she didn’t answer. I knew that it was an imagination on my mind. Maybe that I’m so tired on that time. I back to the living room. When I reach there, the living room that just now is messed has clean. Then, I know that it not a dream. I smile with no reason. I hope that I will meet her again. But I feel something weird. When I meet her at the kitchen, she wears nothing except my white cloth that I wear to go to office. I want to ask her that when I meet with her again. I just about to sleep at couch, suddenly I realize that I should sleep at my bedroom where I usual sleep with my lovely wife when she still alive to remember my happy moment with her. I go to upstairs and walk to my bedroom. When I reach my bedroom, I land on bed and look at the ceiling. I smile, laugh and happy when I remind a moment with her. I close my eyes and start to sleep. I say a goodnight to her before I sleep. I knew that she not around me but I fells like she just on my side and sleep with me. Then, I start to sleep happily.

At the next day, I woke up. I feel like the last night is only the dream. The dream of my wife is coming back from the dead. I mean, come on. It’s impossible that my wife can back and return to me. I stand from my beds and go to the bathroom. I watch my face and look at the mirror near the sink.

“What the hell happen last night?” I ask myself in the mirror.

After that, I grab my towel and take a shower. While I took a shower, I think a lot about the thing that happen last night. I think about how I can saw my wife. Even she was gone. How my living room can be so clean. It’s so mess when I go to the kitchen. I close the water and leave the bathroom. I wear my clothes and goes to the first floor. I go to the kitchen but I didn’t see anything. On that time, I know that it was a dream. I reach my fridge to finds a food. I open the fridge and I don’t see anything that I can eat. I feel so hungry on that time. When I turn around, I saw my wife who still wears my office cloth.

“Go buy some food.” She says.

I was shocking when I saw her for the second time in two days. It’s like a dream came true. I don’t know what to say.

“Whoa! What the hell?” I say.

“What?” She asked.

“How you do that?” I say.

“Do what?” She says.

“Do that. You can come here whenever you want?” I say loudly. “You freak me out. You know that?”

“Like I say last night. It has the time.” Liz said.

“Alright. So tell me, why are you come back? I ask. “You’re dead. You not suppose to be here.”

“Yeah. I knew that.” She says. “It just because…”

“What Liz?” I ask. “Because of what that can make you come back from the dead?”

“You need to know by yourself.” She said. “Don’t worry. You will know about it later.”

I laugh. “Yeah.”

While we are having a conversation, with no reason I’m smile when looking at Liz. She asked me that why I’m smile.

“I think the something weird.” I say. “Why are you not wears anything except my cloth?”

“I don’t know.” She says.

“Are you wearing my cloth when the accident happens?” I ask.

“What? No!” Liz said.

“Aha.” I say.

“If you don’t believe it, I don’t care.” She says.

I smile. “Okay. I believe you.”

She laughs. I’m so happy that I thought I never seen the smile on her face again.

“I miss that smile.” I say to her.

“I really want to see you change your hair style.” She said.

“Anyway, you look good with my cloth.” I say.

“Thank you.” She said. “You know what? Just go buy some food for you eat.”

“Yeah. I should go now.” I said.

“Aha.” She says.

Then, I leave the kitchen and goes to the front door. While I want to go to front door, suddenly I realize that I want to ask her something. When I came back to the kitchen, I didn’t see her there anymore. I told myself to remind me what I want to ask her. I go to the front door and go to the outside. I drive to the supermarket to buy a food just like Liz told me what to do. When I arrived at the supermarket, I park my car and enter the supermarket. I don’t know what to buy because since I married with Liz, I never know how to shopping. So, I just buy a thing I want. I also buy a cooking book. I also doesn’t know how to cooks. While I pay at the counter, I was thinking to go to see my friend and hang out with him. After I have pay for the food, I walk to my car. Suddenly I got a call from my friend.

“Hello. Chris Vega.” I say.

“Alex, hey.” Chris says. “What you doing now?”

“I just finish shopping.” I say.

“Hey, you have any plan on this night?” Chris asked.

“No. Why?” I ask.

“If you don’t have any plan, I want to invite you have a dinner with Zoe and I.” He said.

“Sure. I will come to your house and having a dinner with you and your family.” I say.

“Alright.” Say Chris. “I meet you at my house at eight o’clock.”

“Okay.” I say.

Then, I end my conversation with him. I take all my stuff to my car. I put it in the car and drive to my home. When I have arrived at home, I took all my stuff that I buy at the supermarket and brings it to my house. After I have finish puts my stuff in my kitchen, suddenly I feel hungry.

“I should cook something to eat.” I say to myself. “It’s nine hour before the dinner with Chris and his family. I can’t wait until that. But I don’t know how to cook.”

Suddenly, I realize that I have buys a cooking book. I take that cooking book and start cooking by follows the recipe in the book. After I has finished cooks a food, I serves it for myself. While I ready to eats the food that I cook, Liz coming to my way.

“Hey.” She says.

“Oh, hey.” I say. “You want some?”

“No no. I’m dead.” Liz said. “Go on. Eat.”

“Yes.” I say. “Take a seat.”

“Sure.” She said. “Look at you, Alex Ambrose. I don’t know that you learn how to cooking? I never saw you cooks.”

“I just follow the recipe.” I say. “When you’re gone, I knew that I need to move on. But I didn’t know how to survive. So that why you’re here, to take care of me?”

“Wow. Look at him, he understand the messages from beyond.” She said.

I laugh. “Oh Liz. I miss you so much.”

“Yeah honey, me too.” She says. “I need to go now. I will back.”

“Okay.” I say.

Then, she leaves. I just look at her when she leaves. Suddenly, I remember something that I want to ask her.

“Oh man, wait!” I say. “Where you hides my credit card? Dang. I always forget to ask her about that.”

Austin has arrived at Chris’s house, I knock the door. Zoe Vega who is the wife of Chris is opening the door for me.

“Hey Alex.” She said.

“Hey Zoe.” I say.

“Come on in.” Zoe said.

“Thank you.” I said.

Then, I enter the house. When I inside the house, I saw Chris are playing with his daughter, Lucy.

“Lucy, say hi to Uncle Alex.” Say Chris.

“Hi.” Lucy said.

“Hi Lucy.” I say.

“Lucy, here. Come to mama. Let’s leave your dad and Uncle Alex alone.” Zoe said. “Honey, we will wait Austin and you at the kitchen.”

“Sure.” Chris said.

Then, Zoe takes her daughter and goes to the kitchen. Chris and I continue our conversation.

“So, how are you?” He asked.

“I’m good.” I say. “How about you, everything fine?”

“Yeah.” Chris said. “Good as usual.”\

“Zoe and Lucy?” I ask.

“They’re good.” He says. “Can I ask you something?”

“Yeah.” I say.

“Are you still thinking about Liz?” He asked.

“Well, yeah.” I say.

“You should move on. Go find the woman who can replace Liz.” He said.

“I don’t think that I am ready.” I say.

“It’s has been two years.” He said. “At least take off the wedding ring.”

“I can’t.” I say.

“Why?” He asked.

“This ring makes me feel like Liz is close to me.” I say. “So much happy memory I can remember with Liz when I wear this ring.”

“But the end of the day, that ring is nothing for you anymore.” Chris said.

“Yeah.” I say.

“You know, we should eat the dinner.” He said. “Come on.”

Then, Chris and I go to the kitchen where Zoe and Lucy wait for us. Lucy looks so happy with Zoe. When I look at them, I remember to my time with Liz at the past. I sit at the chair and Zoe serves the food.

“Thank you.” I say to Zoe.

“Sure.” Zoe answers.

After she has finish serves the food, Zoe takes a sit side of Lucy. While having a dinner together, we also talking about something.

“So Chris, how did you meet with your wife here?” I ask.

“That is the good question.” Chris said. “Well, I meet with Zoe when we in the same high school. I meet with her in my first day school there.”

“How long you been married with Zoe?” I ask again.

“Six years.” He answers.

“Wow.” I say. “Six years? I’m impressed.”

“Yeah.” Zoe said. “Alex, can I ask you one thing?”

“Sure.” I say.

“How is your wife dead?” She asked.

“Well, she was having an accident. A truck came from nowhere and hit his car.” I said.

“I’m so sorry about that.” She says.

“Yeah.” I said.

“We should eat the dinner while it still good.” Say Chris who tries to change a subject.

“Yeah, we should.” I say.

Then, all of us eat the dinner that Zoe cooks. The food that been serves there is so delicious.

“This food is delicious.” I say. “So delicious.”

“That is my wife.” Say Chris.

I enjoy the food because I never eat the delicious food like that since Liz dead. After we all finish the dinner, I look at my watch.

“Hey Chris, looks like it been too late. I should back home now.” I say.

“Alright.” He said.

I say thanks for the dinner and drives back home. When I reach my house, I feel so tired and happy at the same time. I open the door and goes inside my house. Without saying anything, I go upstairs and sleep at the bed in my room.

I have wakes up from sleep. I thought want to takes the fresh air. Then, someone knock my door. I wonder who is knocking my door. I came to the door and open it. When I open the door, I saw my neighbor who knocking my door. Her name is Deborah. She has a black hair and green eye. She also brought me a food.

“Hey Alex.” She says.

“Hey Deborah. What are you doing here?” I ask.

“I make a pie and I brought you some.” She said while she gave me a pie on her hand. “It’s a cherry pie. I hope that you like it.”

“Oh. Thanks.” I say. “It smells delicious.”

“Thanks.” Say Deborah who want to leave. “I should go now.”

“Alright.” I say. “And thanks again for the pie.”

“You’re welcome.” Deborah said.

Then, she enters her house and shut the door. I’m also close the door and brought it to the kitchen. When I have reaches the kitchen, I saw Liz who waiting for there.

“Look at that, a pie.” Liz says. “And it’s your favorite flavor.”

“Yes, it’s my favorite flavor.” I say. “Because of that, I will taste this pie right now.”

Then, I grab a fork and taste a pie. The taste of the pie that Deborah makes is so delicious. It makes me don’t know what to say.

“So? How it taste?” Liz asked.

“That pie is so delicious.” I say.

Liz laughs. “Well, enjoys your pie. I have to go.”

“Now?” I ask while eating a pie.

“Aha.” She says. “Just continue eating that pie.”

“Yeah.” I say. Suddenly, I realize something that I want to ask her. “Wait!”

“What sweetheart?” She asked.

“Where you hide my credit card?” I ask. “I have searched it for two years.”

“Oh. It’s top of the closet.” She says.

“Why you hide my credit card?” I ask again.

“Because you always used it for buy a food.” She says.

“Wait, seriously?” I say.

“Yep.” She said. “Okay, bye.”

“Bye.” I say.

Then, I continue eating a pie that Deborah gave to me. When I have finished a pie, I go to my bedroom and look for my credit card at the top of my closet. When I look at the closet, I found Liz’s laptop and I also found credit card. I thought that I should use her laptop because my laptop has lost. I turn on the laptop to see what her job that she has in it. There just have a document for her job. Then, I turn off the laptop and put it at my bed.

1:19 pm

While I just about to hang out with my friends, I saw Deborah at her prepare to go somewhere. I came to her place to asked her that where she wants to go.

“Hey.” I say.

“Oh, hey.” She says.

“Where are you going?” I ask.

“I’m has a class.” She said.

“You’re teacher?” I ask. “What are you teaching? And you teach at Sunday?”

“Yes, I’m teacher.” She says. “I am teaching an English class. Not at Sunday. I just have some work to do there.”

“I didn’t know that.” I say.

“Aha.” She said.

“What the name of the school?” I ask.

“Reign High.” Deborah said.

“Where the school is?” I ask.

“At the Downtown. Not too far from here.” She said.

“Okay.” I say.

When I have finished ask her that where she wants to go, suddenly I remember about the pie that she gave to me this morning.

“Oh yeah, about the pie you gives to me this morning.” I say “It was delicious.”

“Thank you.” She said. “I’m happy that you liked it.”

“You’re welcome.” I say and suddenly got an idea to return her favor. “Hey, you do anything tonight?”

“No, I guess.” She says. “Why?”

“Well if you not doing anything tonight, I thought I want take you to the dinner.”

“Alright, sure.” She said. “How about eight?”

“Perfect.” I say.

Then, she looks at her watch. “I probably should go now. I will late to my class.”

“Yeah.” I say. “I also should meet my friend now.”

“Alright.” Say Deborah who then goes to her car she park near her house. “I see you again later.”

“Okay.” I say.

Then, she leaves and goes to her dance class that she talking about. I also go meet with my friend for hang out with them. I goes to my car and drives to where my friends waiting for me.

“It has been a while that I not take a girl to the dinner.” I say while driving. “Hope this night will be great.”

When I have arrived there, I saw my friends waiting for me. “Hey.”

“Hey.” They said.

Suddenly, look at me and ask me that why I am so happy.

“It just me or Austin are happy today?” Chris said.

“Yeah.” Say Kevin who is the one of my friend there. “What happen bro? Tell us.”

“It’s nothing.” I say. “I was thinking about tonight.”

“What are you doing tonight?” Kevin asked.

“I have a dinner tonight.” I say.

“Oh, dinner?” Chris said. “With who?”

“With my neighbor.” I say.

“I bet it a girl.” Kevin said.

“Aha.” I say. “It a girl.”

“How it happen man?” Chris asked.

“It happens this morning.” I say. “She knocks my door and brings me a pie. I accept the pie that she gave to me. I taste it and it was so delicious. Before I came here, I meet with her to say thank you for the pie and ask her to the dinner.”

“She say yes and that why you happy like a fucking pussy.” Chris said.

“Hell yeah.” I say.

“What her name?” Chris asked.

“Deborah.” I answer.

“What is her job?” Kevin asked.

“She says that she is a teacher.” I say. “English teacher.”

Kevin and Chris smile.

“What?” I ask. “Why are you both smiles?”

“That girl has a type that you like Alex.” Chris said.

“What do you mean?” I ask.

“I mean, you are a guy who is a teacher.” Kevin said.

“And Deborah is a musician. So.” Chris said.

“Oh no.” I say.

“Come on. Give it a chance.” Kevin says.

“We’ll see.” I say.

Then, my friends asked a lot about Deborah. Of course I am the one who needs to answer the question from them. We hang out together for two hours. Suddenly, Chris got a message from his wife. Kevin also got a message from his girlfriend.

“You both got a message?” I ask.

“Aha.” Chris says.

“Yep.” Kevin says.

“From who?” I ask again.

“Zoe.” Chris answers.

“Jen.” Kevin answers.

They say that they have to go. I just says okay to them. After that, all of us separated from there.

“Good luck with your date.” Chris said.

“Shut up.” I say.

Then, we leave from there. I have so much fun and having a little angry to them. “I never should talk about Deborah to them.”

When I has arrived at home, Deborah also who has arrived at her house in the same time as me. When I have done park my car near my house, I saw Deborah look so tired on that time.

“Wow, you look so tired.” I say when I come to her.

She smiles. “Well, just a little. But I’ll be okay for the dinner.”

“Alright.” I say. “I think you should take a snap. You know, just to be sure that you’re okay.”

“Yeah.” She says. “I should go now.”

“Sure.” I say.

Then, she goes to her house. I look at her when she leaves. She looks tired. I thought in my mind that she can’t make it to the dinner, but who know that she just need a rest because of job.

“See you tonight.” Say Deborah before enter her house.

I smile. “See you tonight.”

Then, she goes inside her house. I also turn back and go to my house. Suddenly, Mr. Sanders who is another neighbor who live near of my house ask me about my conversation with Deborah just now.

“So, what is the conversation about?” He asked.

“What do you mean Mr. Sanders?” I pretend like I don’t know what he talking about.

“Maybe I’m 63 years old, Alex.” Mr. Sanders says. “But I knew what I just saw. So tells me.”

“Fine.” I say. “I just ask if she was okay or not.”

“Why you care about her?” He asked.

“She is our neighbor.” I said. “And the neighbor should take care of each other, right?”

Suddenly, with no reason I saw Mr. Sanders are smile. “Why are you smiles?”

“Nothing.” Mr. Sanders said. “Oh yeah, I need to go someplace. Can you watch my house when I go?”

“Tonight?” I ask.

“Yes, tonight.” He says.

“Oh, I can’t.” I say.

“Why not?” He asked.

“I have a dinner with Deborah.” I say.

“Dinner with who?” He asked while smile.

“Deborah.” I say. “I know what you think, but it’s just a dinner as a friend.”

“Okay, whatever you said kid.” Mr. Sanders said who then leave.

“Oh come on.” I say loudly.

After I finished wear my clothes, I goes to the downstairs. When I have reaches the door, I took all my stuff and leave my house. I go to Deborah’s house to take her to the dinner.

“I hope she okay.” I say with a slow tune while I go to her house.

When I have arrived at her house, I knock the door. She opens the door. When she opens the door, I saw her wear a beautiful dress.

She smiles. “What?”

“Nothing.” I say. “You look beautiful tonight.”

“Thanks.” She said.

“So, you ready?” I ask.

“Sure.” Deborah said.

Then, I take Deborah to the restaurant using my car. I hope this night will be great. When we have leave an area, I start ask her a question.

“How are you doing?” I ask.

“I’m fine.” She said. “Thanks for asking. How about you?”

“I’m good.” I say.

We talk about a lot of thing on our way to the restaurant. I’m so happy that time. While we talk, we didn’t realize that we have arrived at the restaurant.

“Wait, we have arrived?” She asked.

“Yeah.” I say. “I didn’t realize about that.”

“Me too.” She said.

Then, we reach the front of the restaurant.

“Superstar?” She was surprise when she asked me about the restaurant that I take her to. “The food that they serve here is expensive. You know that right?”

“Yes, I knew that.” I say.

“We will have our dinner here?” Deborah asked.

“Yes we are.” I say.

“Wow.” She says. “This night will be great.”

“Aha.” I say.

When I have park my car, I out from my car and open the door for Deborah.

“Thank you.” Deborah said.

Then, we both go inside the restaurant. When we inside the restaurant, there has a waiter came to us.

“May I help you sir?” The waiter asks.

“Yes.” I say. “Table for two please.”

“Follow me.” The waiter said.

The waiter takes us to the empty table. After we have sit, the waiter takes the menu and goes to another place for a while.

“Wow.” She said.

I smile. “Why?”

“I don’t know.” Deborah says. “No one ever took me to the restaurant like this included my ex boyfriend.”

“Your what?” I ask.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” She says. “I didn’t mean to talk about him.”

“It’s okay.” I say. “So, your ex boyfriend. He never took you to the restaurant like this?”

“No.” She said.

“So this is the first time that someone took your to the restaurant like this?” I ask.

“Yes.” She said.

Suddenly, I smile. I got an idea to make this night be better. “A waiter.”

“Yes?” The waiter says.

“I wants you to serves everything that this girl want from the menu.” I say.

“Yes sir.” The waiter said.

“Wait, what?” Deborah said and smile. “Seriously?”

“Aha.” I say.

“Wow.” She said. “You’re the craziest man I ever meet today.”

“Thank you.” I say.

Then, Deborah orders a food from the menu that she wants. We have a lot of fun on that night. We talk about a lot of thing while waiting for the food. When the food has been serving, we enjoy the food.

“Whoa.” Deborah said. “Taste of this food is so delicious.”

I smile. “Yep.”

The taste of the food that we ate is delicious. When we have done eating, I ask for the bills. When the bill has coming, I paid for it. Then, we both go to my car. I open the door for her. We go back to our house. When we reach our house, I park my car.

“Hey.” She said. “I just want to say thank you for the dinner.”

“Sure.” I say.

“Seriously, I mean it.” She said. “I never ate the delicious food like that.”

“Yeah.” I said.

She looks at her watch. “Look at the time. I should go now. I have a class tomorrow.”

“Alright.” I say.

Suddenly, she kisses me in the cheek and says thank you once again for the dinner. Then, she exit from my car and goes to her house. I turn off my car and goes to my house. While I want take my key from my pocket, I feel something on the same pocket where I put my key. When I take it out, I saw a card that has full name of Deborah and her phone number.

“Deborah McCurry.” I say. “How she put this on my pocket?”

I open the door and came inside the house. I land on the couch and suddenly, my wife who has dead is sitting on the chair at side of me.

“How’s the dinner?” Liz asked.

“Fine.” I say.

“Superstar?” She says.

“Yep.” I said.

“Good place.” She said.

“Aha.” I say “I want go get ready to sleep.”

“That’s why you look fat.” She said and laughs. “Okay. We talks later.”

“Alright.” I say.

Then, she leaves. I go to the upstairs and get ready for sleep.

I woke up at the next morning. I remember about the last night that Deborah kisses me. I just can’t forget that moment. It has been in my head all night. Then, I go to the bathroom to take a shower and get ready to the office. When I go outside my house to go to my car, I saw Deborah also out from her home.

“Hey.” I say.

“Hey.” She answers.

“Go to school?” I ask.

“Aha.” She said. “What’s about you? Go to the office?”

“Yep.” I say.

“Okay.” Deborah said. “Be careful while driving.”

“You too.” I say.

Then, she drives to her school. I drive my car to my office. When I arrive at my office, I park my car and came inside. When I reach my office, suddenly my assistant, Jennifer coming to me and bring paperwork.

“Good morning boss.” She said.

“Good morning Sarah.” I say.

“You look so happy today.” She says.

“Did I?” I ask.

“Yes.” Sarah says. “Can I ask why?”

“You’re already asked me why, so yes.” I said. “You can ask me why.”

“Okay.” She said. “Why?”

“Nothing happen.” I say. “I just feel happy today.”

“Alright.” She says. “Anyway, here is the paperwork.”

“Thank you.” I said.

She puts the paperwork on my table and leaves my office.

“I should check my employee.” I said.

I walk around to see my employee doing their job. I go to my best employee at his room.

“Good morning Jake.” I say.

“Good morning boss.” He said.

“Nice suit.” I said.

“Thank you, sir.” Jake said. “As the best employee in this industry, I need to make sure that I wear a good suit when I working.”

He stands up to shake his hand with me. But when he wants to shake his hand with me, I saw he didn’t wear his pant. “Where you pant Jake?”

“I have an accident just now.” He said.

“Okay.” I say.

I think in my mind that I can’t forget about this. So, I go to the door of his room and call my employee to come to Jake’s room.

“All of you.” I say loudly. “Come here. Quick. And brings the camera.

Then, all of my worker come to the room and brings their camera to take a picture of Jake.

12:00 pm

When I at cafeteria to ate the lunch, Chris and Kevin came to me.

“Hey.” I say to them.

“Hey.” They say back to me.

Suddenly, Kevin asked me about my dinner last night with Deborah. “How the dinner going with Deborah last night?”

“Why did you need to ask me now?” I say. “Can you wait till day job is over?”

He shakes his head. “Nope.”

“Alright.” I said. “It’s fine. We have talks. Nothing more.”

“Okay.” Chris said.

“Chris, I knew that face.” I say. “What is in your head right now?”

“I just think that maybe you and Deborah can…” Chris said. “You know, be a couple.”

“Okay, I got an idea.” I said. “How about, you both shut your mouth or I will give you an additional job.”

“Whoa.” Chris said. “You need to calm down.”

“Yeah.” Kevin said. “Chill out.”

“You both need to stop talk about the relationship between me and Deborah.” I say. “She is just my neighbor. That’s it. And anyway, I still not ready yet to find the replacement.”

“Because you didn’t give a chance.” Kevin says.

“You should let the past go.” Chris said.

“I think about it.” I say.

“So?” Kevin said. “We need to do an additional job?”

“Of course.” I say.

“But, why?” They asked.

“Because, your job is director.” I say “And we got a lot of thing to do before our next movie, Dark, been release.”

“Right.” Chris says.

“One more reason.” I said. “Because I’m a producer of Angel Animation and I love to gives both of you an additional job.”

“What?” They surprise when I say like that to them.

Then, I finish my food and go to my office. When I reaches my office, I seat on my chair and remind about the chance that Kevin and Chris talking about.

3:15 pm

While I was doing my job at my office, suddenly Jennifer came to me office.

“Boss?” She said.

“Yes, can I help you?” I ask.

“When did you have a new girlfriend?” She says.

I was surprise when Jennifer came to my office and suddenly say like that. “What do you mean?”

“Chris and Kevin tell me that you have a new girlfriend.” Jennifer said. “Her name is Deborah.”

“Where are they?” I ask.

“At outside.” She said.

“Tell them that I want to see them.” I said.

“Alright sir.” She said who then leave my office to call both of Chris and Kevin to my office.

When Jennifer has leave my office, I waiting for Chris and Kevin to ask them what they tries to do. Then, they came to my office and stand right in front of me.

“Take a seat.” I say.

They sit on the chair. When they has sit, I start ask them what are they doing.

“What are you doing?” I ask. “Tell Jennifer that I have a new girlfriend. What is in your head right now?”

“We just want you give Deborah a chance.” Chris said.

“Yes.” Kevin said.

“Why you so care about this?” I ask.

“Because, you’re our boss and you’re our best friend.” Kevin said.

“In fact, Kevin will engage with Jennifer in two weeks.” Chris said.

“And why I didn’t know about that?” I ask.

“Because, I didn’t tell you yet.” Kevin said.

“Fair enough.” I say.

“So…” Chris says.

“So, what?” I ask.

“You want gives her a chance?” Kevin asked.

When Kevin asked me about giving a chance with Deborah, I was thinks for the second. I was thinking for ten second and I have the answer for the question that Kevin asked me just now.

“You know what?” I say. “I will give it a chance.”

Chris and Kevin were happy when I say that.

“Now, get out from my office and do your damn job.” I say. “And don’t tell anyone about this.”

“All right boss.” They said who then leave from my office.

When they have leaved my office, I was thinks back about my decision that I just made. “Did I make a right decision?”

When I want to take the fresh air at outside of my house, I saw Deborah who doing her job on her picnic table at outside of her house. I wonder why she doing her job at outside of her house. So, I go to where she doing her job to ask about that.

“Hey.” I say to her.

“Hey.” She says.

I look at her job. “What are you doing?”

“Just my job.” She answers.

“At outside?” I say. “You know, people usually doing their job inside their house.”

“I knew that.” She said.

“Why are you doing your job at outside?” I ask.

“I love fresh air.” Deborah says. “It help me been more focused.”

“That’s good.” I said.

“Oh yeah, take a seat.” She said.

“Thanks.” I said.

I sit in the chair in front of her. When I have sit, I look at her job. It looks like that she not doing her job as a teacher. “This is not a job you do at school. Isn’t?”

Suddenly, she put her pen away and stops doing her job. “Yeah.”

“Deborah.” I call her name. “You look tired.”

“Not much.” She said.

When I saw she look tired, I stand up and go to her back to massage her shoulder. “You need to take a break for a while.”

“Thanks.” She says. “You don’t have to do this, you know?”

“I know.” I say. “It’s just because you look tired doing your job.”

She laughs. “So, how’s your day going?”

“My day is good.” I say. “Thanks for asking. How‘s about you?”

“Fine as usual.” She says.

While I massage her shoulder, I saw her job is not for English class. “What are you planning with that money?”

“You saw what I doing?” She asked.

“If I don’t see it, how I knew what you are doing right now. Right?” I said.

“Yeah.” She says. “I was planning to take my students visit someplace.”

“Where are you planning to take them?” I ask.

“I don’t know yet.” I say. “Maybe I just take them to a simple place.”

“Why?” I ask. “Your school doesn’t support your idea?”

“They just will support fifty percent from the budget.” Deborah says. “I need to find another fifty percent by myself.”

“When?” I ask.

“When I have got the money I need.” I said.

“All right then.” I say. “Just one thing.”

“What is that?” She asked.

“Why are you doing this?” I ask.

“When we just stay at the classroom, we will feel bored to studies.” She said. “So, I decide to make this for help they feel happy while studies.”

“I can see that.” I say.

While I was massaging her shoulder, I got an idea to help her with her planning for her students. “I think I can help.”

She was surprise when I say that I can help her with her plan. “How‘s you going to do that?”

“You said just a simple place, right?” I ask.

“Yes.” She says. “You have an idea?”

“How about you take your students to the company that makes a film?” I say. “Or maybe the company that makes an animation film?”

“How am I going to do that?” She asked. “That will need a lot of money.”

“How about you take your students to my company?” I ask.

“What?” She says. “Are you serious?”

“Yeah.” I say. “And you don’t need money to doing this for your students.”

She smiles. “All right then. But how are you going to do that?”

“You just need to take care of your class.” I say. “About my company, I will handle it.”

“When?” She asked.

“How’s about Thursday?” I say.

“Sure.” She said.

“Great.” I say.

“Wow.” She says. “I don’t know what to say anymore.”

I laugh. “You don’t need to say anything.”

“Alright.” I say. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” I say. “You have a thing to do?”

“No.” She said. “Thanks to you, my job is done.”

I smile. “You should go inside and sleep for tomorrow.”

“Aha.” She said.

I help Deborah with her stuff. While I take her stuff to her house, Deborah and I saw Mr. Sanders looking at us.

“Hey, Mr. Sanders.” Deborah and I say.

“Hey, Lovebird.” Mr. Sanders said.

“What are you doing?” I ask.

“Just about to go inside my house.” He said. “Goodnight.”

“Goodnight.” Deborah and I say.

When Mr. Sanders has enter his house, Deborah and I was smile when we think back what he call us just now.

“Did he just say lovebird?” Deborah asked.

“I don’t have any idea.” I say.

Then, I continue to take her stuff to her house. When I has take Deborah’s stuff to her house. I say goodnight to her and back to my house.

Next morning, when I have arrived at Angel Animation I take a lift and go straight to the floor that where my office is. After that, I ask every my employee that they have saw Chris or Kevin.

“Hey.” I say. “Did one of you saw Chris or Kevin on this morning?”

Then, all of my employee say that they didn’t saw them on this morning. While I go to my office, suddenly my assistant says that Chris and Kevin want to meet me at my office. When I enter my office, I saw them waiting for me.

“Hey, Alex.” Kevin says. “I got some good news.”

“What?” I asked.

“It’s about our new movie.” Chris said. “It’s ready for been released.”

“Good.” I say. “Now, it’s my turn.”

“All right.” Kevin said.

“This Thursday.” I say. “We will have a visitor.”

“Who will visit us?” Chris asked.

“Just a students from Reign High.” I say.

“How did you know?” Chris asked.

“Because I’m a producer of this company.” I say.

“Okay.” Chris said.

“Good.” I said.

Suddenly, Kevin reminds something. “Wait. You said the students, right?”

“Yes.” I say. “Why?”

“Why the students want to visit our place?” Kevin asked.

“Why you asked too many question?” I say.

“This is about Deborah.” Kevin said. “Isn’t?”

“Yes.” I say. “Maybe. No. Can you just do what I say?”

“Yes. I can do that.” Kevin said.

When Chris, Kevin and I are talk about a visitor, my assistant Sarah coming with news. “Boss, did you have a minute?”

“Yes.” I say. “Why you look stress?”

“I hear we have a visitor.” She said.

“Wow.” I say. “Who told you that? I didn’t tell anyone yet except Chris and Kevin.”

“It doesn’t matter.” She says. “You know that you have a meeting today?”

“But the visitor came on Thursday.” I say.

“Oh.” She said. “Hey look, I need to go now. Bye.”

When Sarah leaves from there, Chris and Kevin laugh. I just smile.

7:49 pm

When I have reaches my home, I hear something break from Deborah’s house. I go check it out. When I close from Deborah’s house, I saw two guys are tide Deborah on the floor and tape her mouth with duct tape. I was thinking to close a police, but it will take too long. I go to the back door and saw the back door was open. I think the robber came from back. I enter the house and saw one of them open the fridge. I sneak in his back and slam his head on fridge hardly. When the robber is down, I came slowly to living room where Deborah is. When I reach a living room, I heard another robber talk trash with her.

“You’re stupid women.” He said with point at a baseball bat on the floor. “You want beat me with this? Not a chance in hell.”

When I saw him scream, I came to him and push him. His head bleeding because slam hardly on the wall. When the robber is down, I quickly spare Deborah. After Deborah been free, the bleeding robber tries to stand up.

“Call the cop.” I say.

“Alright.” Deborah said. “What did you want to do?”

“Sorry about your window?” I say.

“Wait, what?” She asked.

I run to the robber and through the window. The robber was dying and I try to stand with the bleeding head.

7:58 pm

When 10 minutes has pass, I sit at ambulance to get medicine. While I sit there, Deborah came to me. “Hey.”

“Hey.” I say.

“How are you holding up?” She asked.

“Never better.” I say. “What about you?”

“I’m good.” She said.

I laugh. While I laugh, she looks at me seriously. “Alex, can I ask you something?”

“Yeah, sure.” I say.

“Why you do that?” She asked.

“Do what?” I say.

“You put your body on the line to save me.” She said. “You can be dead. Why did you do that?”

“Beating people and get beating is my thing.” I say. “That’s why I been born.”

“No Alex.” She said. “I want you be honest with me. Why?”

“To be honest, I will tell the truth.” I say. “I love you.”

“What did you say?” She asked surprise.

“Deborah, I love you.”

Suddenly, Deborah kisses me in a lip. When we had done kiss, I ask her. “What was that?”

“I love you too Alex Ambrose.” She said.

“So, tonight?” I ask. “My house?”

“I’ll be pleasure.” She said. “I need to go for a while.”

“I will be here.” I say.

She smile then she goes. When Deborah leaves from there, I saw my wife in front of me. “Hey.”

“Hey.” I answer.

“Deborah is a perfect for you Alex.” She said.

“Yeah.” I say. “She perfect as you do.”

“You will have a better now.” She says.

“Yeah.” I say and laugh. “So now, you will go?”

“I always will be here Alex.” Liz said and point in my heart. “In your heart.”

“Yeah, I know.” I say.

“Goodbye Alex.” She said.

“Goodbye Liz.” I say.

Liz has gone in front of me. I’m just smile and didn’t say anything. Then, Deborah came back to me. “Alright, I’m done with them. Shall we go?”

“You know what?” I say. “Yeah, let’s go.”

Then, Deborah and I leave from there and goes to my house.
